Intended to replace the equally renowned Lancia Fulvia HF, it made its debut in the early 1970s. Featuring a modern and highly attractive design, with a low and aggressively styled bodywork crafted by Bertone, the Lancia Stratos was equipped with a 2,400 cc V6 engine, derived from the Ferrari Dino, producing 250 horsepower. The combination of the powerful six-cylinder engine and the innovative lightweight, compact chassis laid the foundation for a vehicle that would revolutionize the history of off-road competitions.
